Reflection Paper 1: Informative Tools of ICT
Informative tools are one of the most helpful parts of ICT in education. These tools help both teachers and students get access to large amounts of information. Some examples of informative tools include the internet, e-books, educational websites, online encyclopedias, and digital libraries. I find these tools very useful in my day to day life, especially when I want to know more about a topic in more detail or show real-life examples.
Using informative tools in the classroom has made learning more exciting and meaningful for us. For example, when I want to do a presentation on any topic, I use videos from YouTube or articles from different websites to help understand better. we can see pictures, watch short videos, and read simple articles that match our level. This helps us to connect the topic with real-world situations. It also helps students who learn better by seeing or reading rather than just listening.
What I also like is that students can use these tools anytime and anywhere.
They can explore topics on their own at home or in the library. This makes them more independent and motivated to learn. However, I also learned that it is important to guide students on how to search for the right information and how to use it responsibly. Not everything on the internet is true or good for students, so we need to teach them to be careful.
Overall, informative tools have improved my teaching. They make it easier to give more knowledge, provide extra support to slow learners, and keep fast learners engaged. In the future, I want to learn more about new educational apps and online platforms to make my teaching even better. I believe that using informative tools properly can create a more modern and effective learning environment.

Integrating ICT as a co-constructive tool in the classroom has changed the way I view teaching and learning. In the past, I often thought learning was something delivered by the teacher and absorbed by the students. However, through the use of digital tools that promote collaboration and shared thinking, I’ve come to understand that knowledge can be built together—by students and teachers alike.
One of the most powerful aspects of ICT is its ability to connect learners. Tools like Google Docs, Jamboard, Padlet, and online discussion forums have allowed students to work on shared tasks in real-time, even if they are not physically in the same space. I’ve seen students become more engaged and responsible when they know their peers are depending on their input. The sense of teamwork and shared ownership encourages them to contribute actively.
Using ICT in this way also supports diverse learning styles. Some students are more comfortable expressing ideas visually, while others prefer writing or speaking. Co-constructive tools allow for multiple forms of expression, which creates a more inclusive learning environment. I’ve noticed that quiet or shy students are often more willing to participate through digital platforms than in face-to-face discussions.
This experience has also reshaped my role as a teacher. Instead of leading every step, I find myself guiding, questioning, and facilitating the learning process. It feels more like a partnership between me and my students. We explore, discover, and create meaning together. This shift has not only increased student engagement but has also helped me grow professionally.
Of course, there are challenges. Reliable internet, equal access to devices, and digital literacy are essential. But with proper planning and support, these can be addressed.
